What You’ll Do 

As the Sales Director, you will lead our sales teams towards achieving our sales goals and objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive sales growth, enhance customer relations, and increase market share and revenue. Your focus will be on designing programs to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, ensuring the success of our sales efforts.

  • Align corporate objectives and goals with a targeted sales strategy, methodologies, and go-to-market sales plays.
  • Ensure that our sales team is equipped to sell the right products to the right customers at the right time, maximizing sales opportunities and revenue potential.
  • Utilize past sales performance data to forecast future sales performance accurately.
  • ​​​​​​​Provide a clear vision and direction to the sales team, outlining the necessary steps to meet profitability targets and revenue expectations.
  • Utilize insights from sales data to optimize sales strategies and tactics.
  • Stay ahead of the competition by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities that provide a competitive advantage.
  • Develop strategic initiatives to drive sales growth and market expansion, ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of our sales efforts.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. 
  • ​​​​​​​10+ years of sales experience 
  • 5+ years of sales experience within the food industry. 
  • Understand food industry-specific trends and landscapes. 
  • Experience in negotiating simple to complex agreements with a detailed understanding of operations, finance, and the evaluation of terms, pricing, order requirements, and service level standards. 
  • Must manage large complex projects, including managing a project timeline, acquiring and allocating resources, ensuring quality deliverables, effective communication and project risk management. 
  • Proficient at analyzing data and developing strategies based on findings, and support change management with the organization. 
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills required with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
  • Highly motivated, ability to prioritize and self-direct, strong business acumen and interpersonal skills. ​​​​​​​
