Quality Landscaping is a Baltimore-based commercial and residential landscape maintenance, snow removal and tree care services company with a commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a dynamic Business Developer to join our team. In this role, you will not only showcase your motivational drive, sales grit, and interpersonal skills but also leverage your passion for building lasting client relationships to drive sales growth, primarily focusing on commercial accounts with some residential involvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Sales Plan: Collaborate with Manager to develop a comprehensive sales plan for landscape and snow removal services for your assigned territory.

  • Market Exploration: Proactively canvas markets to discover new business opportunities through cold calling, networking events and referrals, exercising creativity and independent judgment in evaluating sales and marketing strategies.

  • Sales Process Leadership: Drive the sales process from initial contact through strategy, proposal, presentation, and successful conclusion of new business opportunities.

  • Pipeline Growth and Management: Develop creative and effective strategies to generate leads and secure new accounts, consistently maintaining a healthy pipeline.

  • Advocate for the Customer: Establish strong professional relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions, conducting regular check-ins to ensure customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Bring 3-5 years of relevant experience in the landscape industry or sales, showcasing your ability to excel in a dynamic environment.

  • Local Knowledge: Possess basic knowledge of Baltimore's landscape, seasonality, and geography, enabling you to serve clients effectively.

  • Customer-Centric Skills: Exhibit exceptional communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, essential for building trust and rapport.

  • Self-Motivation: Display a high level of motivation, initiative, and ownership, driving yourself to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Excellent Negotiation and Relationship-Building Abilities. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, build strong, long-lasting relationships to foster retention and contract renewals.

  • Technological Proficiency: Embrace technology, with basic proficiency in CRM systems or a willingness to learn new software tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
