WORK HOURS PER WEEK 35
REPORTS TO JLCP Director
EMPLOYMENT STATUS Full-time Regular Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: The JLCP Program Manager is responsible for providing support to all JLCP programs, and to assist the Director with the program operations. Program operations may include, managing supplies and equipment, maintaining records for contractual reporting obligations and audits, and contributing to the JLCP vision of ensuring that the community has access to and support for high-quality child care.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: THE MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
● Support JLCP programs with clear and respectful communication that contributes to a positive
work environment.
● Become knowledgeable on and be able to speak about JLCP programs: Parent Referrals, Child
and Adult Care Food Program, Provider Services, and Business Services, and Program
Registration.
● Assist JCLP staff in maintaining accurate documentation of contract deliverables, program data
and other clerical support.
● Ability to input data into spreadsheets and various databases.
● Develop and disperse marketing materials related to services and programs.
● Complete support activities that ensure compliance with JLCP, CAPC, and contractual policies
and procedures.
● Maintain inventory and order program supplies and equipment
● Provide oversight for agency vehicles to ensure proper and timely maintenance occurs; along
with ensuring that all inspections, registrations, and insurance cards are current.
● Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, Agency All Staff meetings, and other meetings
as assigned.
● Occasionally attend community outreach events to inform the community of JLCP programs and
services
● Assists the JLCP Director with various research and/or special projects.
● Demonstrate Department commitment to equity, diversity, and community engagement.
MINIMUM REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: College coursework or Associate Degree in Office Studies, Office
Technology or a related field with 1-2 years of experience preferred. Or High school diploma with 3-
5 years of experience.

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES: Valid Driver's License required.
SKILLS OR OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
● Excellent communication and customer service skills (verbal and written)
● Above average computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google email and applications,
and database management).
● Knowledge of child care and/or early childhood terminology preferred
● Ability to maintain accurate detailed records
● Dedication and focused with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete multiple tasks
with a strong follow through
● Ability to balance multiple priorities
● Ability to work as a member of a team and independently
● Ability to be non-judgmental in working with diverse customers
● Positive attitude and team player and cooperate with all JLCP and CAPC staff to provide quality
services.
● Ability to take direction.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in the office environment. There may be occasional
evening and weekend work.
TRAVEL: Some driving may be required in Jefferson and Lewis Counties. There may also be
occasional regional travel for professional development and regional meetings.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Able to be non-judgmental in working with diverse customers, work as part of a team, able to
complete tasks independently, maintain a professional appearance in manner and attire when
dealing with co-workers, clients and the general public.
EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, telephone, copier/printer, shredder, fax.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting, driving, computer use for documentation and research, lifting
and carrying may be required periodically. Requires close mental and visual attention to perform
job duties.
