Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Manager/VP to support a premier client full-time for an initial duration of six months with likely extension. This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing multiple IT/IS projects, ensuring alignment with executive expectations, assisting in task prioritization, and providing strategic guidance to remove obstacles.

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in the IT/IS field, preferably within the retail industry. This role demands a proven track record of successfully handling large-scale, high-visibility projects. The Senior Manager must possess the ability to instigate a sense of urgency when required and be both comfortable and capable interacting with the C-suite.

Responsibilities:

Executive Alignment:
  • Collaborate closely with the executive team to align project goals and expectations with overall technical roadmap and strategic imperatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between the executive team and project teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Task Prioritization:
  • Support project leads in prioritizing tasks to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Provide strategic guidance on task management and resource allocation.
Obstacle Removal:
  • Identify and address potential obstacles that may impede project progress.
  • Provide solutions and guidance to overcome challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
Sense of Urgency:
  • Instill a sense of urgency within project teams to meet critical deadlines.
  • Encourage a proactive, dynamic, and flexible approach to project management.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to provide updates and gather feedback.
  • Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed and met throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in the IT/IS field, preferably within the retail industry
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, high-visibility projects
  • Experience interacting with and presenting to C-suite executives
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities
  • In-depth understanding of project lifecycle
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in task prioritization and resource management
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and address obstacles effectively
  • This position requires full-time in-office attendance in Brentwood, TN (Nashville area)

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
