Logistics and Kitting Supervisor

Title: Logistics and Kitting Supervisor Specialist, Central Lab Services

Location: Exton, PA

Reports to: Director of Logistics and Program Management

Full-time

Our core competencies include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), safety and toxicology, bioanalytical services, chemistry and manufacturing controls for drug development, and core laboratory services for clinical trials.

Position/Job Summary:

The Logistics and Kitting Supervisor provides domestic and international shipping support for Frontage Central Lab Services and other departments as required. These shipments may include collection kits/medical devices, exempt and UN3373 Cat. B. In addition, this position will supervise, help build, QC and organize collection kits for clinical trials; if need be, assist in ordering supplies, picking supplies, packing supplies, and creating shipments to clinical sites in conjunction with the Project Management team.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of different types of collection tubes and equipment, e.g., blood collection tubes, aliquots, including supplies.
  • Maintain kitting department and create an organized workflow to ensure accurate kit building.
  • Supervise, assist and create kits and all required documentation; participate in the quality control process of the kits prior to kit release to customers.
  • Supervise, assist in tracking kit and supply inventory, work with Program Administrator to order additional supplies as required.
  • Alert Project Management of kit expiry dates.
  • Supervise, assist to fulfill kit orders in conjunction with Project Management to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Help develop Commercial Invoices and customs documents when required.
  • Supervise, assist and partner with Shipping Specialist and Kitting Specialist as required.
  • Supervise, assist and coordinate domestic and international sample shipments for global clinical trials in conjunction with the Project Managers and Sample Management Teams.
  • Supervise, assist and create Commercial Invoices and customs documentation required to ensure timely delivery.
  • Supervise, assist and maintain detailed records and tracking of shipments.
  • Supervise, assist and create airway bills and reconcile against invoices for accurate client billing.
  • Maintain department standard operating procedures in conjunction with the Director of Logistics and Program Management and Shipping and Kitting Team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

Associate’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year experience in clinical trial or international shipping logistics:
