As the organization continues to scale, we are looking to hire a Billing Specialist/AR within our Revenue Cycle/Business Administration Team at Performance Optimal Health. This position is responsible for managing the revenue cycle functions related to patient billing and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process patient claims and invoices
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Resolve billing issues and follow up on outstanding accounts
  • Work with insurance companies and patients to collect payments and resolve disputes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and internal stakeholders
  • Assist with other billing and revenue cycle tasks as needed
  • This position will be on-site at our Stamford location

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, BS preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing procedures and insurance reimbursement
  • Strong understanding of billing and coding regulations (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
  • Proficiency in using billing software and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
