As the organization continues to scale, we are looking to hire a Billing Specialist/AR within our Revenue Cycle/Business Administration Team at Performance Optimal Health. This position is responsible for managing the revenue cycle functions related to patient billing and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Review and process patient claims and invoices
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Resolve billing issues and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Work with insurance companies and patients to collect payments and resolve disputes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and internal stakeholders
- Assist with other billing and revenue cycle tasks as needed
- This position will be on-site at our Stamford location
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, BS preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable
- Knowledge of healthcare billing procedures and insurance reimbursement
- Strong understanding of billing and coding regulations (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Proficiency in using billing software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
