Position Overview:


We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced General Manager to lead our Ashland location. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing staff, ensuring the club meets financial and membership goals, and creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for members. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a leadership role, has a passion for fitness, and is excited to be part of a growing community.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing, equipment maintenance, cleanliness, and overall facility presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support club staff, including the Sales Manager, Lead Trainer, and additional employees. Provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, and lead regular team meetings.
  • Member Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of member engagement and satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and implementing member feedback to improve services.
  • Financial Oversight: Work closely with ownership to manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure revenue goals are met. Review financial reports and make strategic decisions to drive profitability.
  • Membership Growth & Retention: Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and execute membership sales strategies, including promotions and community outreach efforts.
  • Training Program Oversight: Partner with the Lead Trainer to ensure the quality and variety of fitness programs and classes meet member needs.
  • Community Engagement: Foster relationships with local businesses, organizations, and influencers to increase the clubs visibility and membership growth.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure the club is compliant with all safety regulations, including maintaining appropriate staff certifications and health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in the fitness or hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work with financial statements, manage budgets, and oversee operational costs.
  • A team player who can collaborate with staff and management while taking initiative and ownership of tasks.
  • A background or personal passion for fitness is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
