POSITION: Front Desk Receptionist

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for greeting patients, and collect any payments including; copayments/deductibles/past due balances. Will be required to do documentation check and verification before note is given to provider for final sign off. Assist with patient treatment, and scheduling follow-up appointments with the appropriate provider.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.High School Education, college preferred

  1. 2.Customer Service Experience preferred
  1. 3.Medical assistance licensure preferred.
  1. 4.Health care experience preferred.
  1. 5.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Speak, read, write and comprehend English. Bilingual is welcome.
  1. 6.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  1. 7.Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  1. 8.Emotional stability, ability to self-regulate, and skills to maintain professional boundaries.
  1. 9.Self-starter and motivated.

  1. 11.Proficient skills to promote excellent client relations and customer skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

  1. Documentation check and verification before chart note given to provider for final review and sign off
  2. Liaison between students and provider for documentation questions and triage of patient flow in that moment if appointments get backlogged.

2.FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST:

  1. Answer phones and assigned email by addressing concerns, questions, or intake of patients.
  1. Plan, direct and control the patient flow, which will be guided by the EHR schedule
  1. Be proactive and look at schedule during the week and identify conflicts, concerns, or issues that can be resolved before patient care is impacted.
  1. Manage time to meet responsibilities.
  1. Prepare/conduct inventory control reports and report office or medical supply needs to the practice manager.
  1. MEDICAL ASSISTANT:
  1. Manage patient care related to medical assistant responsibilities with taking temperatures, periodic vital signs, and other monitoring as assigned.
  1. OVERALL:
  1. Monitor systems, identify problem areas, develop and implement action plans.
  1. Demonstrate a desire to set and meet objectives and to find increasingly efficient ways to perform tasks.
  1. Performs job in compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as community and professional standards.
  1. Communicates necessary information to Supervisor and Clinical Staff to ensure coordination of services and activities.
