Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager and is responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and recommending talent for skilled trades manufacturing, engineering/technical and experienced managerial/professional positions across multiple business lines and locations. This position will consult with and advise internal partners to develop job specifications, recommend hiring approaches, and coordinate business unit interviews all while ensuring a positive candidate and new hire experience.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manages the full-life-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, interviewing and recommending talent to hiring managers.
  • Screens resumes and applications to evaluate the qualifications of applications and identifies potential candidates for employment.
  • Works closely with hiring managers to develop job specifications and coordinates business unit interviews.
  • Sources candidates utilizing the Internet, employee referrals, manager referrals, candidate referrals, advertising, job fairs, college recruiting, and general inquiries/unsolicited resumes.
  • Builds candidate pipelines.
  • Communicates job duties and responsibilities, compensation, work schedules, and working conditions to applicants.
  • Sells Industrious Group and its subsidiaries as an employer of choice to candidates and assists in equipping managers to do likewise.
  • Advises candidates and hiring managers on hiring policies, practices and procedures.
  • Coordinates requisition and offer approval processes.
  • Prepares, presents and negotiates salaries with qualified applicants and educates managers on these matters.
  • Maintains relationships with different recruiting partners including colleges and third-party recruitment firms.
  • Maintains data for Monthly metric reporting.
  • Assists the HR Managers with new hire onboarding.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent years of working experience.
  • 5 years recruiting experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience recruiting skilled trades positions.
  • Strong demonstrated experience with sourcing experience using internet, social media and pipelining.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various recruiting techniques, and experience in online/social media recruiting.
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures and a solid working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to facilitate and influence discussions that enable hiring managers to make good hiring decisions.
  • Exceptional consulting and advisory skills along with experience.
  • Strong systems skills, particularly recruitment systems.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking ability and strong judgment.
  • Experience with Smart Recruiter CRM is preferred
  • Experience performing Boolean searches on LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.. required

Travel: 10%

Location: Cleveland, OH - Hybrid
