Position Summary: The Bookkeeper/Financial Operations Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining DCAA-compliant bookkeeping, managing accounts payable, invoicing, financial reporting, and contract spend management. This individual will also support contract pricing and be flexible to take on ad hoc tasks as needed in our evolving environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and compliant bookkeeping records in accordance with DCAA regulations.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor communications.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and financial planning.
  • Oversee contract spend management, tracking and reporting on expenditures related to contracts.
  • Assist in contract pricing by providing detailed financial analysis and support.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Perform ad hoc financial tasks and projects as needed to support the finance team and overall company objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to take on various tasks as needed


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a government contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with contract management and pricing strategies.
  • Experience with other accounting software such as Unanet or Costpoint.  
  • Strong understanding of DCAA compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of government contracting regulations and compliance standards.
