Team Overview

The Corporate Accounting Team at DRT is tasked with overseeing the daily financial and operational activities of the organization. This team manages vendor payments, customer collections, payroll processing, and a broad spectrum of general business functions.

What We Seek

The Financial Operations Associate will support various accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and payroll. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the accounting lifecycle and its impact on financial statement preparation. DRT and the accounting department operate in a dynamic environment with numerous deadlines, making the ability to meet these deadlines essential for success. We are in search of a proactive problem-solver and self-starter with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and monitor records, ledgers, and filing systems for journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with tax submissions, accounts receivable and payable, and payroll processing.
  • Handle various filings throughout the year, including revenue reports and quarterly GSA submissions.
  • Review and process employee expense reports.
  • Confirm and review monthly revenue.
  • Manage customer expense invoicing and reconciliation.
  • Support the Manager during the annual financial audit, tax filings, and the 401(k) audit.
  • Engage in special projects as needed.

Your Profile:
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Federal Government Contracting is essential.
  • Background in Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable within the federal contracting space is required.
  • Must demonstrate proactivity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience in collaborative team environments and a strong team player mentality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
  • Capability to navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Payroll processes.
  • Familiarity with Unanet and Namely software.

Education & Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business with a concentration in Accounting.
