Job Title: Apartment Locator Specialist
Reports to: Student Marketing Manager

Through our development and operations team, DTN seeks to create and deliver unique experiences for those choosing a DTN home or apartment. As the Apartment Locator Specialist, you will influence and guide the experience for those that visit a DTN owned or managed community.

Job Summary

The DTN leasing team is the brand liaison to both future residents and the community. As a part of the leasing team, you will be engaged to help grow the DTN brand for all properties. This includes converting leads to future residents and influencing reputation through positive relations in all interactions.

As an Apartment Locator Specialist, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Field incoming leads, assess needs and filter to appropriate sites
  • Have positive and professional relations with all employees, future residents, and community
  • Work independently and alongside site teams to ensure prospects needs are met
  • Use approved technology and operating software to create and manage leads to leases
  • Manage prospect queue to ensure proper and timely communication with all prospects throughout their search
  • Complete Market Study for student communities on a weekly basis
  • Attend outreach and community events on an as needed basis
  • Other duties/responsibilities may be assigned based on site needs
  • Assist Marketing Team with general social media management
Core Candidate Qualities:
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Exceptional phone etiquette skills
  • Sales experience preferred but not required
  • The ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively
  • Well organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Motivation to learn and consistently improve
  • People skills required to educate, support and overcome objections of future residents
  • Can do attitude and collaborative mindset – We all succeed by working as a team
  • An eye for detail – Our properties and team members are representing the DTN brand
  • Desire to provide great customer outcomes
  • Proficient with computers and various software platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using industry software is preferred
  • Reliable transportation to get to work daily and conduct daily job responsibilities

Expected Schedule: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday (1 hour lunch break, 40 hrs/week)
