Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sr Director of Information Technology, the Biomedical Technician Specialist I, is responsible for clinical equipment asset management, which is supported thru development and oversight of a medical equipment management plan, The plan will be inclusive of a robust preventative maintenance and clinical equipment live cycle management program. Preventative maintenance routines assure clinical equipment remains safe and available for care and it is the responsibility of the biomedical Technician Specialist to assure maintenance is completed on time per schedule, with documentation well maintained. This includes vendor or manufacturer provided service. Regarding clinical equipment lifecycle management, the Biomed Technical Specialist I, in collaboration with clinical, operational, IT and Supply Chain management stakeholders, will lead lifecycle planning and monitoring efforts, including the coordination and procurement process, with emphasis on standardization where possible.

Qualifications Required:

  • Associate degree, military training, academic work aligned with AAMI’s Core Competencies for the Biomedical Equipment Technician.
  • Attained or in process of attaining a CBET certification.
  • 0-2 years of biomedical equipment procurement, testing & preventative maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of, and ability to communicate the use of devices supported.
  • Knowledge of with clinical outpatient operations and workflow.
  • Possesses understanding of local and national patient safety and regulatory issues
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Has basic understanding of project management terms and methods.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Will be required to travel between all TrueCare sites and locations therefore a California Driver's License, proof of insurance and a clean driving record are required.

If you are hired at TrueCare, your final base salary (within the pay range), will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members when determining any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer generous benefits and retirement plans.
