Position Summary:

  • This role supports the entire organization with Onboarding all new hires approximately 700+ a year by working with candidates on the new hire road map, collecting and verifying confidential information, continually keeping hiring managers up to date on new hire progress, and ensuring New Hire Experience is positive for each new employee. These are very fast paced positions juggling the duties of new hires as well as working with the HR team on all Compliance documentation. These positions work independently and must make many judgement calls in the moment. Customer service is paramount to ensuring the compliance department runs smoothly and professionally

Location:

  • Olathe, KS
    • Hybrid: Roughly 4x a month in office for NEO and in the office on as needed basis

Education:

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from a four year accredited college
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED plus experience in Human Resources

Licensure/Certification:

  • Valid drivers license
  • Valid Auto Insurance
  • At least 21 years old

Experience:

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Requires Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Interest in working within a fast- paced HR department. Experience in working with child welfare a plus but not required

Essential Duties:

  • Practice conduct that displays respect for all KVC colleagues and community stakeholders regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, or ethnicity.
  • Initiate positive engagement with approximately 700 new hires per year-throughout the onboarding and orientation process.
  • Contact new hires after offer acceptance, communicate with new hires throughout onboarding process.
  • Collect background checks, out-of-state Child Abuse Registry checks, clinic docs, licensing info, etc.
  • Ensure onboarding completion for all new hires and keep HR Business Unit leaders and hiring managers informed.
  • Verify all employee compliance documents for new and existing employees.
  • Process new hires in UltiPro Onboarding.
  • Facilitate New Hire Experience.
  • Collect/complete I-9 documents.
  • Assist with connecting new hires to correct people (trainers, supervisors, staffing coordinators, etc.)
  • Interact with state licensing agencies regarding employee compliance.
  • Collect compliance items and keep UltiPro up to date with current information.
  • Support HR Business Unit Leaders and Recruiters.
  • Assist and prepare for BU audits- averaging 12 per year.
  • Learn and understand the overall Compliance department as a function.
  • Monthly Duties: DOL Reporting, I-9 terminations, annual and semi-annual motor vehicle record checks.
  • Other HR Duties: Process Clinic and work comp invoices, employment verifications, badge making, monitor and sustain office supplies, bill pay.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
