Job Overview

USIS Inc., part of Davies Specialty Programs, is looking for a Processing Specialist to
assist the claims departments with general clerical functions. You primarily be performing data entry for medical provider bills, but may also be opening and scanning mail documents, “attaching” scanned documents in the claims system.

This is an in-office position in our Orlando office (I-4/Kirkman Road) with hours Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Accurately entering data from provider bills in a computer system.
  • Opening and scanning of incoming mail documents to folders in the system.
  • Attaching scanned PDF documents to the claim system determining appropriate claim, attachment type and subject text per specific protocol.
  • Entering claim report data to the system as reported by the client over the phone.
  • Opening and scanning of incoming mail documents.
  • Handling outgoing mail process via mail machine.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Typing speed of at least 45 wpm; 10-key by touch.

  • Organized, motivated, detail orientated.
  • Quick to learn and able to function well in a changing environment.
  • Good computer skills and general office experience.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written. Team player. Good attendance. Good customer service skills.

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a in office, full time, hourly, non-exempt position that predominantly operates using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
