IT Specialist and Help Desk

Systems Chief is looking for an IT professional to join our team in our Houston office. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in getting project experience both onsite and remote (from our office location and your home - flexible).
Responsibilities:
- Visit client company locations for varied onsite work, hardware installations, system updates, and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate strongly with team and project manager on tasks (ask lots of questions)
- Perform tech support via ticketing system for clients (helpdesk related)
- Assist with larger scale system migrations and/or networking projects
- Field client calls for ticket creation
- Develop your IT skills
Requirements:
- College degree related to Computer Systems/IT
- Working knowledge of Networking concepts, IT Infrastructure, and computer systems
- Technically savvy with strong communication skills
- Experience troubleshooting issues and achieving solutions
- The ability to explain to a non-technical person in a way they will understand
- Preferred: Cisco or similar qualifying certifications
