OFFICE PROFILE: The Graduate and Adult Admissions Office is responsible for the ongoing program of student recruitment and admissions of adult and graduate students.

ROLE: The Associate Director of Graduate and Adult Admissions is responsible for admissions and enrollment efforts, along with supervising the admissions staff and processes within their assigned programs. The Associate Director will serve as part of a leadership team, contributing direction and leadership to the office of Graduate & Adult Admissions. They will work closely with the Senior Director of Graduate and Adult Admissions and academic program directors to support the University's vision, mission and enrollment goals. The Associate Director provides leadership in University efforts to recruit qualified and diverse graduate students for academic programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each of the below duties satisfactorily:

  1. Help lead the admissions team through all aspects of the admissions process.
  2. Will be the direct supervisor for select members of the graduate admissions team.
  3. Helps with the continual training and development of team members.
  4. Ensure that staff maintain telephone and electronic contact and initiate correspondence with prospective students, including appropriate and consistent follow up.
  5. In coordination with the Director of Graduate and Adult Admissions, provide leadership in planning, developing, executing, and assessing a strategic enrollment plan for the University.
  6. Represents the University to prospective students and the general public with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs and activities
  7. Advises perspective students regarding educational opportunities, admissions requirements, and policies and procedures, as appropriate
  8. Actively manage prospective student inquires and applications via telephone, email, text message, etc. for all assigned programs
  9. Create and update student information utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program
  10. Logs and maintains all communication with prospective students
  11. Presents program and admissions information to prospective students at information sessions and conferences - some travel will be required
  12. Meets aggressive enrollment goals for each start term
  13. Works collaboratively with appropriate CUI personnel to grow and improve academic programs
  14. Helps run and organize the admissions interviews
  15. Assists in developing and maintaining admissions materials
  16. Utilizes effective communication skills with faculty, staff, and students; as well as, all off campus constituents
  17. Supports, and contributes to, the mission and vision of Concordia University Irvine
  18. Some evening and weekend hours, as needed
  19. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. Master's Degree preferred. Experience in higher education admissions preferred.
