Cedar Recovery, LLC is an ASAM Level I outpatient treatment facility that employs an array of evidenced-based treatment modalities to provide an integrated model of care of medical, counseling, and therapeutic interventions to treat every patient's individual needs and promote long-term sustainable recovery from substance use disorder. While Cedar Recovery provides care for all substance use disorders, it has a primary focus on treating opioid use disorder with medications such as Buprenorphine and/or Naltrexone (MAT).

Responsibilities

Fulfill the care values of Cedar Recovery: love unconditionally, forgive habitually, and demonstrate mercy.

  • Under the supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy.
  • Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Reports immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors.
  • Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles cash as required.
  • Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to providers.
  • Collaborates with Cedar Recovery admin, medical, and therapy team. Works to ensure best-in-class care alongside pharmacist and other Cedar Recovery stakeholders.
  • Works with Pharmacist to identify, evaluate and implement process improvement and optimization opportunities.
  • Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of Company asset protection techniques.
  • Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Current pharmacy technician certificate/registration
  • Effective computer and keyboard skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong prioritization skills and an ability to make decisions independently and effectively.
  • Able to operate equipment such as computers, scan guns, tablet counters, and cash registers.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy practice settings, legal requirements and limitations, prescription information and calculations, drug identification and generic equivalents, drug manufacturing, packaging and labeling information and proper drug handling and storage practices

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional treatment environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
