Our primary mission is to address the unique needs of individuals facing substance use disorders, with a particular emphasis on opioid use disorder, utilizing medications such as Buprenorphine and/or Naltrexone (MAT).
Key ResponsibilitiesAt Cedar Recovery, we uphold our core values: unconditional love, habitual forgiveness, and the demonstration of mercy. As a Pharmacy Technician, your role will include:
- Assisting the pharmacist in pharmacy operations, adhering to all relevant state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Executing tasks as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist, which includes entering patient and medication data into pharmacy systems, accurately filling prescriptions, and verifying medication correctness while checking for potential interactions.
- Promptly reporting any prescription discrepancies to the pharmacist on duty and following company protocols regarding pharmacy errors.
- Managing all sales transactions at the cash register and handling cash responsibly.
- Fielding phone inquiries that do not necessitate the pharmacist's direct involvement, including communications with healthcare providers.
- Collaborating with the administrative, medical, and therapeutic teams at Cedar Recovery to ensure the delivery of exceptional care alongside pharmacists and other stakeholders.
- Working with the pharmacist to identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
- Supporting the Pharmacy Department with inventory management tasks, including ordering, receiving, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments while maintaining knowledge of asset protection strategies.
- Ensuring the Pharmacy Department is well-stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Adhering to all company policies and fostering respectful relationships with colleagues.
- Completing special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current pharmacy technician certification or registration.
- Proficient computer and keyboard skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to make independent decisions effectively.
- Able to operate various equipment, including computers, scanning devices, and cash registers.
- Familiarity with pharmacy practices, legal standards, prescription information, drug identification, and proper handling and storage protocols.
This position is situated within a professional treatment setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.
Position TypeThis is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours of work per week, with a structured schedule.
