Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Pharmacy Technician, you will embody the core values of Cedar Recovery: unconditional love, habitual forgiveness, and mercy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the pharmacist in pharmacy operations while adhering to all relevant state and federal regulations.
- Executing tasks assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist, which includes accurately entering patient and medication data into pharmacy systems, preparing prescriptions, and verifying the correctness of medications while checking for potential interactions.
- Promptly reporting any prescription errors to the pharmacist and following company protocols regarding pharmacy discrepancies.
- Managing cash transactions and ensuring all sales are accurately recorded on the cash register.
- Handling non-critical phone inquiries, including communication with healthcare providers.
- Collaborating with Cedar Recovery's administrative, medical, and therapeutic teams to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Working alongside the pharmacist to identify and implement process improvements and optimizations.
- Assisting with inventory management tasks, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies while maintaining knowledge of asset protection strategies.
- Ensuring the Pharmacy Department is well-stocked, clean, and organized.
- Upholding all company policies and fostering respectful relationships with colleagues.
- Completing additional assignments as directed by the Pharmacy Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current certification or registration as a pharmacy technician.
- Proficient computer and keyboard skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to make independent decisions effectively.
- Able to operate standard pharmacy equipment, including computers and cash registers.
- Knowledge of pharmacy practices, legal requirements, and proper drug handling procedures.
This position is situated within a professional treatment setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and fax machines.
Position TypeThis is a full-time role, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.
