Your role involves managing a team, coordinating workflows, implementing process improvements, and optimizing resources to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement operational plans and strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management to define performance targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of employees, including supervisors, team leaders, and frontline staff. Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce. Set clear expectations, delegate tasks, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze existing operational processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains. Implement process optimization initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team.
  • Resource Allocation and Management: Optimize resource allocation, including human resources, equipment, and materials, to achieve operational targets. Develop staffing plans, schedules, and shift rotations to ensure adequate coverage. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and supply chain, to ensure timely availability of resources.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish performance monitoring systems and tools to track operational performance against targets and KPIs. Analyze operational data, identify trends, and generate reports for management review. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive operational improvements.
  • Quality Assurance and Customer Satisfaction: Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer satisfaction targets. Implement quality assurance processes, including inspections, audits, and corrective actions. Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and implement measures to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage relationships with vendors and suppliers. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and manage service-level agreements. Monitor and optimize the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks that could impact business performance or customer satisfaction. Implement risk management processes and protocols. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the operational budget. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost control measures. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, finance, and human resources, to align operational activities with overall business objectives. Foster effective communication, coordination, and collaboration across different functional areas.


Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required. However, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in operations management or related roles, preferably in a similar industry.
