Billing Coordinator

The Billing Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and ongoing improvement and implementation of the billing process. Additional responsibilities include data entry coordination, quality assurance, and communication with billing sources to ensure the accuracy of processing.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Minimum of one year of experience preferred
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Preferred experience with billing Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Preferred experience with Champs
- Preferred experience authorizations
- Preferred experience with ABA
- Preferred experience with Home Healthcare
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication
- Is neat in appearance and practice, with good personal hygiene
DUTIES:
- Billing process ensuring timely and accurate weekly billing
- Coordinate all data entry related to billing in software systems
- Handle all billing related questions and issues
- Quality Assurance of billing to ensure proper documentation and re-education of staff
- Communication with billing sources for changes to ensure accurately processed
- Continuous improvement, investigation, and implementation in the billing process
- Other administrative tasks as directed
- Ensure ongoing compliance with authorizations according to each insurance agency’s policy
