Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at VieMed. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge Management: Stay up-to-date on current patient database and billing system knowledge to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery.
  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and represent VieMed in a professional manner, interacting with patients, physicians, and colleagues in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Information Collection: Obtain patient demographic and health insurance information, collect co-pays as necessary, and enter patient data into our computer system.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify and record insurance benefits to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a working knowledge of Medicare and insurance regulations and requirements as communicated by management.
  • Documentation: Read and understand medical documentation effectively to provide accurate and timely support.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interact professionally with physicians, patients, family members, and colleagues to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Scheduling: Schedule set-ups as called into VieMed by physicians or physician's office staff, following established policies and procedures.
  • Telephone Management: Answer telephone calls in a polite and professional manner, communicating information to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communication with Management: Communicate clearly and effectively with Manager and other superiors to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Teamwork: Establish and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with colleagues for the benefit of our patients.
  • Productivity and Organization: Utilize initiative to maintain a steady level of productivity, self-motivate, and manage Secretary's activities with consideration for the needs of the facility and staff.
  • Decision Making: Make decisions reflecting knowledge of facts and good judgment, within the coordinator's scope of practice.
  • Computer Operations: Manage and operate computer equipment safely and correctly.
  • Additional Duties: Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact knowledgeably with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note that this job description is not designed to cover all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
