- Assist in the preparation, review, and submission of claim forms and related documents. Ensure all claims are filed accurately and within deadlines.
- Maintain and organize client files, including correspondence, medical records, and evidence.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding their claims. Provide updates, answer queries, and gather necessary information from clients to support their claims.
- Work closely with attorneys and paralegals to support case preparation. Coordinate with medical professionals, insurance companies, and other relevant parties to gather and verify information.
- Maintain accurate records of claims status, deadlines, and correspondence.
- Track dates and follow up on outstanding issues or missing information.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling phone calls.
- Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, legal assisting, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications or coursework in tort law a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, with a focus on claims processing or personal injury law preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail. Proficient in legal research, document preparation, and case management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software is a plus.
- Familiarity with legal software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other relevant tools.
