Job Description: Account Executive
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for building the PCS Software client base and procuring new business by contacting new prospects, closing multi-year licensing agreements, up-selling existing accounts with new features and service level agreements or additional licenses, and making customer retention plays. This requires strong product knowledge, excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as consistent follow-through and solid organizational skills in order to provide best-in-class service to our transportation and logistics customers.
Responsibilities
- Follow-up with current lead opportunities and contact new prospects via outbound calling and onsite visits
- Strategically build a strong pipeline to ensure quota is consistently met independently and working side-by-side a team of qualified business development representatives
- Coordinate with the Platform Engineers to schedule demonstrations that highlight specific elements of the PCS platform and perform your own software demos when necessary
- Deliver amazing customer service to our clients and potential clients as an ambassador and face of the company and become a trusted advisor and business partner to our customers by understanding the specific needs that challenge the transportation and logistics industry and leveraging the value of our TMS platform, professional services, and product training onsite and online via PCS University
- Identify decision makers and establish relationships with key players to generate interest and close business.
- You will manage the full life cycle of new logo accounts until the hand-off to the Customer Success and Implementation Teams to ensure a top-of-class experience.
- Document daily sales activity and communicate information regarding prospects and opportunities via Salesforce.com
- You are accountable to meet or exceed monthly quotas in an extremely competitive environment that offers fun, excitement, and challenges with opportunities for financial rewards and an annual President’s Club trip and recognition ceremony for qualified top sales team performers that exceed 125% of their annual sales quota.
- You will own responsibility for the full sales lifecycle beginning with the initial contact and then with follow-up calls, negotiations and closing sales agreements.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of direct / inside sales experience
- 2+ years proven ability to hunt and prospect for sales opportunities via outbound calling
- 2+ years B2B phone sales experience required
- 2+ years of experience working in one of the following: Transportation or Logistics Software Sales, SaaS Sales, Platform Sales, Technology Sales, Trucking company, Brokerage, or other related logistics industry experience. We are looking for people who have existing knowledge of the domestic transportation industry or complementary business related to the transporation industry.
- Direct Salesforce experience
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed quota
- Proven ability to manage leads, manage a pipeline, and forecasting
- Proven record of selling solutions over the phone with persuasive closing techniques
