Job Summary:

The material handler will be responsible for keeping the shipping line flowing efficiently to help meet daily shipping numbers. Other duties may be assigned as needed by the supervisor/manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Learn various positions on the shipping line depending on personnel that may include filling orders, processing orders, or stuffing/stacking packages.
  • Be willing to move around and learn new positions on the shipping line
  • Maintain a positive relationship with co-workers to meet daily shipping numbers
  • Conduct weekly inventory counts of products to maintain accuracy
  • Be a driving force for production on the shipping line
  • Other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager as necessary

Specifications/Qualifications:

  • Experience – 1+ years in shipping and/or receiving preferred, with leadership skills.
  • Education – High School diploma or equivalent
  • Responsibility – Safe and efficient shipping and receiving of ammunition.
  • Supervision received – Direct oversight by the shipping supervisor.
  • Supervision exercised – None
  • Working conditions – Building, outside, noise, heat, cold, injury or atmosphere exposures.
  • Mental and physical demands – Sitting, standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, speaking, listening, motor coordination skills, coordination of eyes, hands and feet, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without difficulty.
  • Confidential data – Access to company intellectual property must remain confidential as well as employee information.
