We are in search of a qualified candidate for the role of Culinary Operations Supervisor. The ideal individual will possess extensive knowledge of standard kitchen practices and the management of a bustling culinary environment, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to recipes to ensure product consistency,
- Manage inventory, product rotation, and seasonal offerings,
- Oversee, train, and evaluate kitchen personnel to maintain quality standards,
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the kitchen,
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, food preparation, storage guidelines, and safety protocols,
- Motivate kitchen staff through regular meetings and encouragement,
- Guarantee that all to-go orders meet the high standards for flavor and presentation,
- Monitor costs, manage inventory effectively, and minimize waste,
- Analyze labor costs, forecast staffing needs, and adjust schedules to meet operational goals,
- Collaborate with marketing on new product development, promotional materials, and advertising campaigns,
- Create visual job aids to ensure operational consistency,
- Foster a positive and inspiring work environment to develop team members,
- Innovate new menu items and special offerings for events.
This is a full-time position with a salary based on experience. We provide a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including medical and dental coverage, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, daycare reimbursement, tuition assistance, and a monthly meal discount card, among other perks. Bonus opportunities are available for achieving targeted food and labor cost objectives. Availability to work on weekends is necessary.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of excellence,
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, culinary trends, and presentation techniques,
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with creative problem-solving abilities,
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently,
- Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, and vendor ordering systems,
- Reliable transportation is required,
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate varying event demands,
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting,
- At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience,
- SERV Safe manager certification is mandatory, along with a WA State Food Handler card within 14 days of employment.
