Job DescriptionJob Description

Local team-oriented certified public accounting and small business advisory firm is seeking to fill an on-site Lead Office Support position before the retirement of current staff member. This position is year-round with a part-time summer schedule.


  • Ideal candidates will have prior tax/accounting office or mid to upper management clerical support experience. Ability to work with limited supervision but discernment to assess and verify directions.
  • Candidates with strong clerical, problem solving, customer service, call handling, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat pdf and forms experience, ability to learn new or upgraded software, high attention to detail and an interest in learning new skills are highly encouraged to apply. Prior experience in a professional office environment is required.

  • Position duties include administrative support to partners and accountants; answering phones and greeting clients; completing a variety of clerical tasks; proof reading and formatting; data entry; assembling paper or print tax returns and financial statements; managing secure email/eSignature platform; creating and analyzing reports; providing job training/oversight of seasonal office support; supply ordering and inventory; A/R posting; vendor coordination; record retention; client email mergers.

  • Off tax season, beginning at the end of April, schedule is 20-32 hours a week based on workload. Schedule is very flexible, especially for time off.
  • During peak tax period from winter to early spring, hours may be up to 40-50 per week, Monday-Friday.
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
  • In-depth training by current staff member.
  • A background check is required.
