Position Overview:

This role as an IT Help Desk Technician emphasizes hardware support. You will provide technical assistance and support for various IT requirements, focusing on hardware-related challenges while ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, delivering prompt solutions, and maintaining exemplary customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary contact for users seeking technical support via various communication channels.
  • Conduct on-site diagnostics of hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Identify and rectify hardware malfunctions, including component repairs and replacements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical challenges.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of hardware and software.
  • Perform routine maintenance on IT equipment.
  • Manage hardware inventory and maintain related documentation.
  • Provide accurate information regarding IT hardware products and services.
  • Document issues and resolutions in logs.
  • Update customers on the status of their inquiries.
  • Relay feedback from users to relevant internal teams.
  • Propose enhancements to existing procedures.
  • Handle networking cable installation and termination as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a help desk technician with a diverse technology background.
  • Proficient in hardware components, office automation tools, and remote support technologies.
  • Experience with both Windows and MacOS is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Solid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products.
  • Knowledge of common cybersecurity protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with a calm demeanor.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and small components.
  • Ability to navigate confined spaces.
  • Good vision for detailed work.
  • Work may involve various environments, including office and factory settings.
  • Exposure to different temperatures and noise levels.
  • May require personal protective equipment in specific areas.
