Position Overview:

This role is for a skilled IT Help Desk Technician with a primary emphasis on hardware support. The technician will provide technical assistance and support for various IT needs, focusing on hardware-related challenges while ensuring optimal performance of our IT systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, delivering prompt solutions, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a primary contact for end users seeking technical assistance through various communication channels.
  • Conduct on-site troubleshooting for hardware issues, including desktops (PC and Mac), laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware malfunctions, including component replacements and repairs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address technical issues.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and upgrading of hardware and software.
  • Perform routine maintenance on IT equipment.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and manage related documentation.
  • Provide accurate information regarding IT hardware products and services.
  • Document events and resolutions in logs.
  • Follow up with customers to update them on their status and information.
  • Relay feedback or suggestions from end users to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Identify and propose potential improvements to procedures.
  • Pull and terminate networking cables as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a help desk technician supporting various technologies.
  • Proficient in hardware components, office automation products, and remote control tools.
  • Experience with both Windows and MacOS is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Solid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products.
  • Knowledge of common cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software-related technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-focused and composed under pressure.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and small components.
  • Ability to crawl, bend, and reach into confined spaces.
  • Good vision for reading small print and working with tiny components.
  • Work may involve both office and factory environments.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels in factory settings.
  • May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas.
