- Develop strategies to improve sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of oil and energy projects.
- Provide technical support for capital projects involving petrochemical units at various stages of execution (pre-feasibility, feasibility, basic and detailed engineering).Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable initiatives.
- Utilize simulation and modeling (energy and material balances, utilities and catalysts).
- Collect, analyze and report on sustainability metrics to accurately measure progress towards goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and recommend improvements.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, standards, and regulations related to sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience in petrochemical industry with a minimum of 5 years in operations and 5 years in an ESG role or similar.
- Experience in the oil and energy industry preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of global sustainability standards and regulations.
