JOB SUMMARY:

The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for the execution of the Cybersecurity and IAM strategy, identifying and mitigating cyber threats to the Company. Responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity systems and processes. This role will also ensure that CECO users, devices, Azure resources, and applications have the appropriate level of access and security. May assist with IT due diligence efforts in M&A activities relative to Cybersecurity, IAM issue identification and development of risk mitigation plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage incidents and investigations in Defender and Sentinel as part of the Cybersecurity team
  • Plan, implement, and manage identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Azure Active Directory / Entra and other tools.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls for internal and external users, devices, and applications.
  • Configure and manage authentication and authorization protocols, such as SSO, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Monitor and audit identity and access management activities and events, and report on compliance and performance metrics.
  • Investigate and resolve identity and access management issues and incidents and provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders.
  • Review and update identity and access management policies, procedures, and best practices, and ensure alignment with business and security objectives.
  • Research and evaluate new identity and access management technologies and trends and recommend improvements and enhancements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Management or a related field and 7+ years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Prior experience in an IT Administration, Support, Engineering, and/or commercial industrial manufacturing industry is helpful.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

Relevant Security, Microsoft, Networking and Azure certifications required.

COMPETENCIES

KNOWLEDGE:

  • At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably with Microsoft Azure Active Directory / Entra and legacy Active Directory. Experience in network, systems or other computer engineering or architecture roles considered.
  • In-depth knowledge of identity and access management concepts, such as RBAC (role-based access control), identity federation, separation of duties and least privilege.
  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, such as SSO, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Experience with identity and access management tools, such as Active Directory, LDAP, Azure AD and PIM (privileged identity management)
  • Understanding of various components of IT infrastructure architecture – on-premises systems, hybrid public cloud, end-user technology, virtualization, security, LAN/WAN, data center, etc.
