Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Our client located in Dallas, TX is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer. This is anticipated to be a multi-year contract opportunity that will be based in-office.

Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Role:

Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will fortify the company’s security posture by managing and optimizing cybersecurity tools, overseeing identity management, and leading incident response efforts.

Deploy, configure, and oversee security solutions such as CyberArk, Mimecast, SentinelOne, and similar technologies.

Integrate these tools effectively into the IT infrastructure.

Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will Implement and manage IAM solutions to ensure secure authentication and authorization.

Oversee auditing processes to uphold security standards.

Assist and lead incident response efforts, as required, to address and resolve security incidents.

Conduct in-depth investigations to identify, contain, and remediate security threats.

Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks.

Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will Provide exceptional support and guidance to internal teams, addressing their security concerns.

Communicate complex security concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as HIPAA, FINRA, and SOX.

Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.

Recommend and implement enhancements to security policies, procedures, and tools.

Create and maintain both team and end-user documentation as necessary.

Handle various projects and responsibilities as assigned.


Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Background Profile:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, Sec+, CEH, CISM) are a plus.

Over 6 years of experience in a security-focused role.

Experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools.

Familiarity with technologies such as Active Directory/Entra, SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk), AWS/Azure, Nessus, SentinelOne, Microsoft CloudApp Security/Defender, Mimecast, and various operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).

Understanding of network security threats, methodologies, and industry standards.

Proven ability to develop policy and procedure documentation.

Strong knowledge of incident response methodologies and tools.

Experience with IAM solutions and security awareness training.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
