As a Customer Service Coordinator (known internally as HOS Coordinator) at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our drivers remain in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) HOS rules and regulations. You'll be the go-to person for our drivers, providing them with the support and guidance they need to navigate HOS rules and resolve any issues quickly and efficiently.



Essential Job Duties

  • Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails from drivers, assisting with questions related to hours of service (HOS)
  • Provide clear instructions to drivers on how to use their electronic logging devices (ELDs) effectively
  • Review driver logs for HOS violations and offer counseling to drivers as needed
  • Continuously monitor driver logs to identify and correct errors
  • Perform data entry of HOS-related files and information for accurate tracking and recordkeeping
  • Regularly review reports to ensure driver compliance with HOS-related systems, programs, and services
  • Conduct random audits of driver logs to maintain high standards of compliance
  • Provide counseling to drivers for serious infractions and escalate issues when necessary
  • Ensure accuracy of all recordkeeping and file retention practices
Requirements:


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of customer service experience in an office environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have good attention to detail and critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Must be able to work independently but also in collaboration with others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have good time-management and organization skills and be able to multitask when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within trucking industry and/or with FMCSA rules and regulations
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish
