**Description**

TITLE: Customer Service Rep/Office Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Administration Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Work involves standard clerical duties of a highly procedural nature including filing, sorting, and mathematical computations, posting data, keeping records and operating office machines. Assists Billing Supervisor and Operations Supervisor with miscellaneous tasks. Communicates closely with our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Checks in drivers as they arrive at our facilities and coordinates with the dock personnel for the assignment of doors for loading or unloading.

2. Performs clerical work such as entering orders and receipts into our WMS system.

3. Prints all documentation needed for unloading and loading of trucks such as pick tickets, check sheets, lot labels, putaway sheets, bills of lading, and receipt notices.

4. Works closely with the operations for printing special request documents and inventories.

5. Performs all filing by customer and date.

6. Answers telephones and personal inquiries, routes visitors and calls to the appropriate personnel, and schedules all appointments for inbound and outbound carriers.

7. Operates a variety of office equipment.

8. Sorts and files correspondence, reports and other materials, alphabetically, numerically, or by other established classification.

9. Works closely with the operations to make sure the necessary supplies are in stock.

10. Performs clerical work such as entering orders and receipts into customers dedicated WMS systems, when applicable.

11. Review all documentation and ensure the SOPs are being followed.

12. Make sure the cycle count reports are printed daily per our SOPs, counted and signed by the supervisor of each facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training:

Graduation from high school and two years of general clerical and customer service experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the desired knowledge, abilities and skills.

Licensing and Certification:

None.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Some knowledge of business communications.

Some knowledge of office practices, methods and procedures.

Experience in a warehousing environment using Warehouse Management systems

Ability to operate a variety of modern office equipment, including microcomputers and other electronic equipment; ability to type.

Ability to perform clerical work of standard difficulty.

Ability to write legibly, use proper grammar and punctuation and to follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to work at routine assignments for extended periods as needed.

Ability to pay close attention to detail.
