Job Summary:

 

Partners in Home Care is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team. This is an on-site role in Missoula, MT. 25-30 hours per week are expected and hours may be flexible. This individual will have an opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience and learn about the various aspects of the accounting and financial review function at Partners In Home Care. Partners In Home Care.  The Accounts Payable Specialist will work directly under the supervision of the financial Controller but will assist other members of the accounting team and will provide outstanding service to internal clients.  This is an opportunity to advance knowledge and skills with potential full-time employment opportunities. The Accounts Payable Specialist will review approved time tracking as submitted, prepare payroll, coordinate accounts payable, and other related financial activities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.

 

  1. Codes invoices, sets up new vendor accounts, reconciles vendor accounts, and closes the monthly accounts.

 

  1. Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.

 

  1. Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to assist with annual audit.

 

  1. As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.

 

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma and 1 year of accounts payable experience preferred.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional education or experience in accounting or business; experience with computerized accounting or business systems and spreadsheets.

 

Technology Utilized:

SAP, Concur, and SAP by Design, Microsoft
