JOB SUMMARY:

You are the company's primary point of contact with customers on the phone and in person. You will assist customers and military members and provide all the backup to our Admin department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED; college students welcome
  • Minimum one (1) year of office experience, experience in the moving industry preferred
  • Computer software, MS Office Applications, Google Workspace, and adaptable to new programs and processes
  • Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Thrives in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Demonstrates the ability of a high-degree level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Willing to continuously learn.

Job will include but is not limited to the following:

  • Manage the company's phone system, including answering calls, relaying messages promptly, and providing information.
  • Contact customers before their move to confirm details and arrangements.
  • Assist walk-in customers, address inquiries, and sell packing supplies or boxes.
  • Support crews with local move rate inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to the dispatch office.
  • Correspond with carriers and other parties via phone, fax, and e-mail.
  • Handle outgoing and incoming mail efficiently.
  • Responsible for listening to any/all messages recorded overnight and writing and distributing each message to the appropriate personnel
  • Maintain office equipment and order supplies as needed
  • Scan and email billing packets as required
  • Manage coffee supplies and equipment
  • Organize file folders and maintain the filing system.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; see clearly; talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. unassisted.

The employee must be able to carry and climb a ladder, stand and walk for extended periods, twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently, and use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.

Working Conditions:

Office working environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some facilities may cause exposure to warehouse working environments where loud noises are typical and exposure to varying weather temperatures may exist.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Wage: Hourly/Non-Exempt; $16.00 per hour
  • Hours of Operations: Monday- Friday; 7:30a - 4:30pm
  • Paid Time Off (per Company guidelines)
  • Holiday Pay (per Company guidelines)
  • Vesting to pension plan (ESOP) as defined by plan documents
