Purpose:


The Field Training Coordinator will manage the training program for identified agency departments by completing program design, establishing and updating procedures, following up on program implementation, analysis of program data, and providing coaching to agency staff.


Responsibilities:


• A bachelor’s degree in a Human Service-related field or five years experience in human services related to people with disabilities, or a combination of education and relevant work experience equaling five years.

• At least five years of full-time experience in human services.

• Previous supervisory and training experience required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively, make presentations, and write concise reports for all levels of employees.

• Knowledge of CARF standards and 460 IAC.

• Knowledge of Team Building and Total Quality Management philosophies preferred.

• Training or experience in database and spreadsheet use required; MS Word and Excel preferred.

• Data Analysis skills.

• Ability to travel between offices and service delivery locations.

• This position will support their assigned team by helping with training staff by agency policy and procedure and the individual plans of care.

• This position also performs quality assurance checks at various locations and other quality assurance tasks and is directly involved in conducting assessments, planning, and implementing training on services and supports necessary to ensure a good quality of life.

• Participates in internal and external audits, following up on non-conformities and corrective action requests as it relate to training practices.

Requirements:

Training:


• Work with the leadership team to develop specific training to meet the needs identified by auditing.

• Communicate with leadership and staff to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies.

• Maintain awareness of and coordinate the utilization of training resources available through state and state-contracted entities.

• Coordinate annual and as-needed refresher training for all employees.

• Facilitate new hire field orientation training programs including participant training and department-specific training.

• Coordinate training, lectures, and discussions to increase the knowledge and competence of employees.

• Conduct competency-based on-the-job training or classes to teach and demonstrate principles, procedures and subject matter knowledge.


Quality Assurance:


• Ensure the flow of information through training programs, including changes in service procedures and funding source and accreditation regulations.

• Serve as an agency-wide resource for problem identification and resolution.

• Interact with internal and external customers to identify opportunities to improve quality training programs and provide feedback to the leadership team.

• Conduct quality assurance audits of programs agency-wide to ensure training programs are consistent with policies, procedures, and regulations and agency standards are maintained.

• Assist with policy and procedure revisions as necessary.

• Develop and implement training in preparation for and response to internal and external audits.

• Assist in the creation of quality performance metrics, reporting, and improvement targets.


Safety:


• Develop and implement competency-based training programs in compliance with OSHA and accreditation regulations.

• Monitor workers' use of training resources, tools, and equipment, track progress, and change programming as indicated.

• Maintain CRT certification and provide training to staff as required.


Sycamore Services Team:


• Champion organizational mission, vision, and philosophies.

• Maintain confidentiality of consumer and personnel information and records.

• Other duties as assigned.
