Position summary:

Represent the Murdock Auto Team with each customer who wants to sell their car to the dealership and standing in a league of our own in the automotive industry by delivering on our No Regrets promise through enthusiasm, guest experience, and continual innovation and growth. Utilize online software programs daily such as Kelly Blue Book (KBB) software solutions to evaluate vehicle values and create purchasing offers.

Tasks:

  • Communicates with Guests enthusiastically to serve their needs: engaging new guests; maintaining rapport with previous guests; evaluating vehicle values; greeting drop-ins; responding to inquiries; communicating industry standards and inspection results.
  • Understands automobiles and what creates value by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models.
  • Thoroughly inspects and qualifies guest's vehicles by visual inspections, test drives, and communicates with the dealerships Used Car Manager and Service Technicians as needed.
  • Communicates Murdock's expectations and processes for the acquisition process to maintain the highest customer satisfaction throughout each purchasing opportunity.
  • Closes acquisition of vehicles by overcoming concerns; asking detailed questions; completing purchase contract specifications; explaining purchasing terms; helping to process funds as directed; and finalizes purchases with a personal touch.
  • Navigates computer hardware and software programs quickly and accurately to minimize customer's time and complete accurate purchasing offers.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, book reading, online journals/publications, and professional materials.
  • Enhances Murdock Auto Team's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing different guest requests, addressing customer concerns, and additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Experience And Education:

High School diploma or GED with a current driver's license and good driving history.

Excellent communication, time management, organization, and computer skills.

Must be able to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment.

Must be minimum of 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk; sit; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Work is performed at a desk in an office setting and walking throughout the dealership lot.
