Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Advanced experience with GD&T.
  • Experience with First Article Inspection Planning per AS9102.
  • Preferred aerospace quality experience.
  • Familiarity with machine parts, gear manufacturing, and inspection techniques.
  • Knowledge of advanced composite part manufacturing and inspection techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create Quality Inspection Instructions and identify appropriate inspection placement within planning routes.
  • Manage first article inspections in compliance with AS9100/AS9102 and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Engineering, Inspection, Planning, Engineering, and Leadership.
  • Extract and interpret complex models from Catia V6 & 3DX for Advanced Quality Planning activities.
  • Navigate MES systems such as CAMS, SAP ECC, and SAP PEO.
  • Maintain compliance of configuration management through audit, evaluation, and tracking.
  • Make informed decisions based on engineering, contract, and procedural requirements.
  • Develop solutions independently while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, processes, and guidelines.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership.

Education:

  • Associate's degree preferred. Relevant experience and technical training will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Position Summary: The Aerospace Quality Operations Specialist ensures compliance in Quality Operations and meets all associated customer contractual requirements. This role supports First Article Inspection Planning, creates Quality Inspection Instructions, and participates in planning review board activities in collaboration with Quality personnel and the Planning Operations team.
