Position Overview


Regional Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory levels within a specific region to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained while minimizing excess inventory. This role involves working closely with various internal departments (i.e. logistics, sales, and procurement) and our external customers to forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover.


General Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies for the region.
  • Analyze demand patterns and forecast future inventory needs.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels to prevent stock outs or overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to align inventory levels with sales forecasts.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and develop action plans to address them.
  • Coordinate with logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products to meet demand.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators related to inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
  • Lead regional inventory audits and implement corrective actions as needed in each location.
  • Respond to external customer inventory inquiries.
  • Provide guidance, support and coaching to inventory staff throughout the region.
  • Oversee the salvage program for the Americas.
  • Manage all vendor parts at the assigned location.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Management, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experienced in inventory management and/or inventory control and planning.
  • Ability to deliver under deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with little supervision while managing resources judiciously.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting complex data and making informed decisions.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or supply chain operation.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel for data analysis required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting techniques and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
