Position Summary

The Regional Inventory Manager is tasked with overseeing and directing inventory levels within a designated region to ensure optimal stock levels are sustained while minimizing surplus inventory. This role necessitates close collaboration with various internal departments (such as logistics, sales, and procurement) and external clients to anticipate demand, monitor inventory levels, and implement strategies aimed at optimizing inventory turnover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute inventory management strategies tailored for the region.
  • Assess demand trends and project future inventory requirements.
  • Supervise and monitor inventory levels to avert stock shortages or overstock scenarios.
  • Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to synchronize inventory levels with sales projections.
  • Implement process enhancements to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and devise action plans to address these issues.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to guarantee timely product delivery to meet demand.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators pertinent to inventory management.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
  • Lead regional inventory audits and execute corrective actions as necessary at each location.
  • Address external customer inquiries regarding inventory.
  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to inventory personnel across the region.
  • Oversee the salvage program for the Americas.
  • Manage all vendor parts at the assigned location.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in inventory management and/or inventory control and planning is essential.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision while managing resources effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex data and making informed decisions.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel for data analysis is required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
