Position Summary:

Interface with Quality, Contracts, Finance, Production, Materials, and Procurement personnel to support the planning and execution of projects, monitoring and controlling project progress, and maintaining project files.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Initiate project Kick-off meetings, internal and external customer meetings, and contract review meetings as required.
  • Plan and monitor projects to ensure they are within scope, on-time, quality, and budget, and timely submission of reports and contract data deliverables.
  • Utilize the company's ERP, and other systems, to monitor and report.
  • Develop billing for invoices, track funding status, and work with Contracts department to report funding needs to customers.
  • Maintain and update Programs database to track status of proposals, purchase orders, milestone dates, and other contract requirements.
  • Prepare presentations and reports using MS Office packages.
  • Work across functional departments for continuous improvement initiatives, KPI & status reporting, and process improvements.
  • Participate and provide guidance in government audits as needed.
  • Assist with sales presentations and technical proposals as needed.
  • Exhibit friendly, professional, and helpful spirit toward customers, vendors, employees, and guests.
  • Adhere to acceptable professional work standards.
  • Observe Company procedures and personnel policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships in accordance with Airbus Code of Conduct.
  • Regular onsite attendance required as outlined in the company policy.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years program management experience, preferably in an aviation or aerospace environment.
  • Prior government or military contracts experience.
  • Prior experience with FARs and DFARs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with earned value management is a plus.
  • Advanced MicroSoft Office product knowledge and MS Project experience is a plus.
  • Smartsheets experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in an international organization is a plus, but not required.

  • Must demonstrate high level of accuracy and thoroughness of work.
  • Must be able to lead a project meeting, take minutes and actions, with follow-up and follow through.
  • Must be dependable and follows instructions and directions.
  • Good organization skills to prioritize, multi-task and plan work activities using time efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Must maintain positive, flexible attitude and approach to assignments as this position will support various levels within the organization.
  • Must be able to interact respectfully and productively with co-workers, supervisors, managers and guests.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
  • Must be able to see and hear clearly with or without aids or devices.
  • Must be able to walk around, squat, bend and stand regularly.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Travel Required:

  • Less than 5% domestic travel may be required.

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) Holder

Nature of Contacts:

Involved Communication on a regular basis with internal and external parties.
