As the Director of Corporate Strategy and Innovation for our aerospace company, you will be responsible for leading and driving the development of strategic initiatives and innovation projects to ensure the company's long-term growth and competitiveness in the aerospace industry. You will be the key innovator for the Company and will work closely with senior leadership to shape the company's overall strategic direction and identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
Knight’s products consist primarily of roll on/roll off palletized systems used for the transport of people and equipment in cargo aircraft throughout the world. As this is a small company, this comprehensive role will have wide responsibility for its designs and will oversee the product from initial customer conception through the entire design process. As the Director of Corporate Strategy and Innovation, you will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that the expectations of the Company’s customers are exceeded by performing the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's corporate strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives and long-term goals.
- Lead the strategic planning process, including conducting market analysis, assessing competitive landscape, and identifying key trends and opportunities in the aerospace industry.
- Drive innovation initiatives to develop new products, product improvements, support services, and other business opportunities that will enhance the company's competitive position.
- Conduct Aerospace Industry Research, recommend and assist implementation of best-practices and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially sales and engineering, to identify and prioritize strategic projects and initiatives that will drive growth and profitability.
5. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with the company's goals.
6. Monitor industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, acquisitions, or investments
7. Communicate the company's strategic vision and priorities to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, employees, customers, and partners.
8. Travel as needed.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate strategy, business development, or management consulting, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data and information into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving successful strategic initiatives from conception to implementation.
- Knowledge of the aerospace industry, including key market trends, competitors, and regulatory environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a results-oriented mindset.
