The Position: The Senior Manager – Supply Chain Planning, directs the advancement of Enterprise forecasting, guide procure-to-pay and operational processes, and develops and deploys inventory strategies that optimize service and cost. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align planning efforts with organizational goals and customer needs; leveraging (Consumer Packaged Goods) CPG experience, expertise in data analysis and industry trends, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and implementing innovative solutions to streamline processes and drive operational excellence. They are accountable for omnichannel Demand and Supply Planning teams, a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking is crucial for success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides end-to-end Planning and Supply Chain leadership, technical expertise, and support across the organization
  • Direct the evolution and adoption of forecasting systems, processes, and reporting
  • Actively apply CPG knowledge and experience to the monthly S&OP process and output
  • Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize service, cost, and working capital
  • Accountable for finished goods planning systems and outcomes – strategies, methodologies, execution
  • Own the development and implementation of cross-functional Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) process, and accountable to effectiveness
  • Responsible for development, performance, and reporting of forecasting, supply planning, and inventory metrics and KPIs
  • Owns the rolling twelve-month finished goods supply plan and inventory projections and actively manage supply plan execution ensuring appropriate actions and communication are taken to best service customers and key stakeholders
  • Oversee procure-to-pay activity and guide operational process improvements to ensure the seamless and accurate flow of goods and payments
  • Manage Slow Moving Obsolete Goods (SMOG) process and risk reduction
  • Lead finished goods production capacity modeling and network recommendations
  • Initiate and guide cross-functional root cause analysis, issue resolution, risk mitigation, and opportunity realization throughout the end-to-end supply chain
  • Foster a metrics-driven action-oriented culture that delivers best in class service and business performance
  • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and performance management

Experience and Education

  • 10+ years’ supply chain and operations experience including development and implementation of working capital inventory strategies in the CPG industry 5+ years’ hands-on experience with demonstrated expertise in automated Procure to Pay and Plannings systems – ERP, MRP, EDI/API, Forecasting (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
  • 5+ years’ management experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and operations management including modern tools, methodologies, and practices with the ability to drive continuous process improvement
  • Strong proficiency in technology use including SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Suite applications and internal software applications
  • Proficient with advanced analytics tools – SSRS, Data Cubes, MS Power BI, Tableau
  • Reputable supply chain and forecasting certifications preferred (APICS, CSCMP, IBF)
