Pavement Marking LLC. is a full-service line striping and pavement marking company providing high quality highway, roadway, and parking lot striping services. Our employees have a strong sense of pride because their work matters. We are looking for skilled Water Blaster Operator to join our team. Do you have experience working in the Pavement Marking Industry?

Responsibilities:

  • Drive specialized pavement marking equipment for extended periods of time while removing pavement marking materials from the roadways with high pressure water. Must be able to drive equipment and remove material within specified and contractual tolerances.
  • Must understand various specialized pavement marking equipment to prepare equipment for day's operation and shut down equipment at end of shift in a safe matter.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment in field and make necessary repairs to ensure equipment is operable to complete scheduled installations.
  • Maintain specialized pavement marking equipment for removing all types of pavement markings, including thermoplastic, traffic paint, preformed plastic, hot tape.
  • Conduct daily pre & post trip inspections on company equipment operated or driven daily. Includes completing a Daily Vehicle Inspection Report.
  • Perform routine and daily maintenance and service on blaster including hydraulics and fast-moving high-pressure parts used during their shift.
  • Cleans and maintains water blaster equipment.
  • Loads, unloads various equipment with appropriate materials for day's production.
  • Removes striping on streets, parking spaces, parking lots, islands, crosswalks, etc.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and maps.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4-6 Years pavement marking experience (preferred)
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in the position is qualifying.
  • Possess and keep current a valid Arizona Class B CDL driver's license with clean 5-year MVR. Tanker endorsement is required.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Knowledge of Types of material, Methods, and techniques of installing the various types of pavement markings.
  • Knowledge of Standards and Specifications for each type of material installing/removing for each municipality.
  • Knowledge of Paint and Thermoplastic chemistry, viscosity, and application.
  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and ordinances.
  • Ability to effectively use and operate a computer.
  • Have ability to effectively operate, troubleshoot, drive, and conduct routine maintenance of all specialized pavement marking equipment: Paint Striper, Thermo Striper, Water blaster, etc.
