Job Summary

The Associate Project Manager's central responsibility is to assist the Sr. IT Project Manager at ITSS as well as support the work of the other IT Project Managers. This can encompass any number of tasks, including assisting with the tasks outlined below, but they may also be asked to perform administrative duties related to projects underway such as create / update project artifacts, maintain contact with project Stakeholders through email and phone calls, answer questions and concerns that project Stakeholders may have, prepare presentations or other communications, and enter project data in ServiceNow or other tool(s).

*This role can be remote, with occasional travel to our Indianapolis, IN, offices*

Essential Job Functions:


  • Enter and Maintain Data in ServiceNow PPM

The Associate Project Manager will enter data in SN-PPM and to maintain this data over the course of each year for Efforts (Operations, OPOs, Projects) within the ITSS Portfolio, as assigned by the Sr. IT Project Manager.

  • Report Effort-Data / Results

The Associate Project Manager, in conjunction with the Senior / IT Project Manager, will be responsible for gathering and documenting all project execution results periodically and then reporting or presenting them as needed by the PM Team.

  • Participate in Projects

It is important that the Associate Project Manager engages, in collaboration with assigned PMs, different project(s) to learn about Project Management and to act as a back-up resource should such be needed.

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Project, etc.)
  • Preferably has exposure to / knowledge of project management process models (ITIL, PMI, CMMI, Agile, etc.).
  • Preferably has managed small projects in the past, for part or whole of the SDLC.
  • Preferably has been part of a PMO or PM Team or IT Team for minimum 3 years.
