We are seeking a skilled Website Marketing Manager who can ensure that the company’s website serves as an effective marketing and communications platform. This key role is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the website and requires a combination of technical expertise, digital marketing knowledge, and a strategic mindset to ensure the website effectively supports the organization’s business and marketing objectives. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and uses data-driven insights to optimize the website as a powerful marketing tool. Marketing is responsible for the vision, creative, content, & engagement of the website with the technology team responsible for the development & delivery of the website. This role is responsible for collecting the business & marketing requirements and collaborating with the website technology team to translate them into technical specifications ready for development. This role will ensure web best practices maximize performance, ensure brand consistency, and deliver a positive user experience. This role will work in lockstep with the Director of Marketing and the website development team to define priorities and timelines to ensure the website supports the business’s growth objectives. This role reports to the Director of Marketing Operations. Additionally, this role will manage a Web Producer, coordinating their efforts to ensure our web content meets the highest standards of quality and user experience. 

Responsibilities 

  • Through collaboration, develop & maintain a comprehensive website strategy that aligns with the overall marketing and business goals 
  • Lead efforts to enhance the websites user experience (UX) by optimizing navigation, content, design and functionality 
  • Working with the web development team to ensure a seamless and engaging mobile experience including responsive design and mobile app optimization 
  • SEO & SEM collaboration to ensure digital content is content is optimized for search engines and paid search campaigns 
  • Develop requirement briefs for new web initiatives and review with the website development team who can then translate them into technical requirements 
  • Manage projects through completion. Assess risk and remove roadblocks to ensure delivery 
  • Communicate timelines and workflows with key stakeholders 
  • Monitor and provide quality assurance for each website initiative 
  • Monitor content on website ensuring it is fresh and up to date. Work with marketing colleagues on upcoming campaigns to ensure content has the right tags and is optimized for SEO and SEM. Manage the SEO clean up on the website.  
  • Utilize web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to monitor and analyze website and content performance. Generate reports and offer date driven insights for improvement.  
  • Continuously monitor website experience and make recommendations for navigation, layout and design elements to enhance user experience and increase conversion rates.  
  • Plan and execute A/B tests to optimize website elements such as landing pages, forms and calls to action for improved conversion rates. 
  • Work with web team to ensure website is mobile-friendly and responsive.  
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including creative, development, content and marketing, to ensure the website meets branding and marketing requirements. 
  • Ensure website complies with relevant data privacy (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) and accessibility (e.g. WCAG) standards. 

Skills & Experience 

  • Knowledge of web design principles, HTML, CSS and basic coding languages 
  • Must have proficiency in web content management systems (e.g. WordPress, Sitecore) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)  
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) 
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and SEM strategies 
  • Experience working with a software application used for issue/request tracking and project management (Jira preferred) 
  • Familiarity with web security and data privacy & compliance standards 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills  
  • Ability to build relationships and work cross functionality. 
  • Display excellent people skills – someone who is a team player and who has the personality, global perspective, and cultural sensitivity to collaborate across RSAC 
  • Advocate for workplace inclusion and social responsibility. 
  • People management experience preferred 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, web development, business, or related field. Equivalent training and experience may substitute for education 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in website management, digital marketing or similar role  
  • Certifications in web development, digital marketing, or SEO  
  • Proficiency in website personalization and marketing automation tools 
  • Reasoning Ability: A combination of strategic thinking, technical expertise, strong leadership skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are a must. 
  •  Able to make independent judgments which have considerable impacts on the organization
