Job DescriptionJob Description

JHNA Technology Security is seeking System Architects / Model Based Systems Engineers to support a Navy Program Management Office in China Lake, CA, working with a high-performing team developing a complex state-of-the-art enabling architecture. Team members will participate in all phases of the system development, including requirements development, analysis and decomposition, software and hardware system design, algorithm design, risk management, integration, test and documentation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Systems Architecture and MBSE experience to lead the development and implementation of an enabling architecture that supports the modeling of system security, with the potential to have the enabling architecture be adopted across the DOD.
  • Lead the development of architectural views that support requirements development.
  • Conduct studies and lead briefings to support the selection of approaches.
  • Share MBSE best practices, lessons learned and serve as an MBSE mentor.

Requirements:

Senior Architect

  • 7-10 years or more of experience with systems engineering involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis, and verification.
  • 5 years or more of experience involving Model Based Systems Engineering approaches, methods, and techniques.
  • 5 years or more of experience leading system architecture and model development in an MBSE tool using SysML (CAMEO is preferred)

Journeyman Architect

  • 3-5 years or more of experience with systems engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience involving Model Based Systems Engineering approaches, methods, and techniques.
  • 3-5 years of experience working system architecture and model development in an MBSE tool using SysML (CAMEO is preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, software development, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • Bachelor's Degree requirement waiverable for extensive experience with SysML and CAMEO in support of DOD programs

Clearance:

Active TS clearance

Desired:

  • Experience in modeling, simulation and analysis.
  • Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Experience with Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DODAF)
  • Familiarity with SQL/Access, MATLAB, C++, C#, Java is a plus
  • Experience validating models

JHNA is committed to pay transparency for our applicants. The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
