BBTS Group is a growing Fresh Food manufacturer located in Santa Ana, CA . We are looking for a talented and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our fantastic team The Director of Human Resources will provide leadership in developing and executing various programs within the department and across the organization. This role works closely with the company leaders to support and meet long-term business objectives and initiatives. The Director will be responsible for proposing, developing, and implementing policies and procedures. They will also encompass employee relations, coaching of senior leaders, performance management, State and Federal compliance, compensation, benefits, and employee recruitment practices. 

 

Some Daily Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily HR functions and collaborate with Senior Management to drive the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Formulate, implement, and maintain HR strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and corporate regulations.
  • Refine and manage key HR functions including record-keeping, recruitment, promotions, terminations, compensation, benefits, and employee relations to align with company policies and legal standards.
  • Spearhead recruitment initiatives to support employee development and cultivate a positive, safe, and engaging work environment.
  • Administer and effectively communicate HR policies, rules, and practices to ensure adherence to labor laws and company directives.
  • Direct and establish processes and procedures to comply with the Affordable Care Act
  • Oversee the design and management of comprehensive benefit programs such as medical, dental, LTD, STD, life insurance, and 401(k), and recommend enhancements to optimize employee satisfaction and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant legal requirements and government reporting regulations, including OSHA, EEO, TEFRA, ERISA, and wage and hour laws.
  • Establish and oversee processes for managing leave of absence, FMLA, and disability claims, coordinating with employees and service providers.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and concerns, ensuring resolutions are consistent with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures, including those related to vendor relations, ensuring effective training and application.
  • Prepare and manage HR reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis, and assist in budget preparation through detailed analysis of participation, utilization, and claims data.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • 10-15+ years of experience leading and managing the HR department and a senior role
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures regarding HR laws and regulations, hiring, compensation and benefits, and employee relations practices.
  • Ability to manage and work with diverse teams to ensure work processes meet or exceed all requirements and business goals.
  • Excellent consulting and coaching skills, management skills, and business acumen.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications with the ability to learn proprietary HRIS database systems.
  • Experience in recommending and implementing policies such as E-Verify or no E-Verify is essential.
  • The candidate must be thoroughly familiar with California wage and hour laws.


This is a full-time position and the salary range of $100K - $120K.
